My opinion... Don"t readjust it... It"s a closeup of the door system and with virtually 60k miles, why mess with it? definitely don"t mess through it and not placed stock fluid in. I"d imagine you"re potentially and unnecessarily putting your warranty in ~ risk. It"s not like it has 150K or also 100K.

Also, fyi... Mine 2011 300c had a close up door transmission mechanism too... Therefore they"ve been doing it for awhile now and I"ve never heard anyone law a fluid change.

I"d stick through the Mopar fluid. Friend never gain all the old liquid out with just a pan and also filter swap,so i"d continue to be with the original tranny fluid as it"s compatiable v the stuff still left in the tranny and convertor. PPE makes a replacement pan that has a removable filter. Examine out Boosted"s video clip at the bottom of this thread,he swapped to the PPE pan and filter ~ above his 8 speed, and has a pretty indepth video showing the to fill procedure. Unless you"ve i found it a problem, the "lifetime" top top the liquid in the 8 speed is typically held to it is in 100,000 miles. Ns wouldn"t bother doing it however if it was mine. -K
I checked on a trans organization for my moms 300 with my neighbour who does the driveline in ~ the dodge dealer that he works for. He claimed the liquid is the expensive component and that the 8 speed room recommended in ~ 100k an excellent luck maintince is not the ar to skimp ~ above a couple of $$$ acquire what"s recommended. I put Chrysler approved power steering fluid in my power steering once poor idea should of looked in ~ the manual and also realise it provides atf I"m lucky it didn"t rubbish the pump.
I’m confused though. It’s life time oil that requirements to it is in serviced ? sent from mine iPhone utilizing Tapatalk

That"s only what Chryco is telling you,ZF themselves recommend a 100,000 mile organization on the 8 speed. Believe which ever one you want, lol. I"d peril a guess the 99.99% the the Rams v an 8 speed, will never have actually a tranny company done and be perfect fine, but for some of us v OCD about a appropriate maintence schedule,it"s a little different,we"ll readjust ours, lol.

It"s "sealed" in the feeling that there"s no dipstick to examine fluid level. It"s not a important "sealed" unit that needs Jedi psychic tricks to get old fluid out and brand-new fluid in. It has a drainpipe plug and a to fill hole, it"s simply a pain in the *** procedure to verify the it is filled to the appropriate level. Not prefer the old work of placing it in neutral and checking the dipstick and filling it optimal side if needed.
