The shinobi system in the Narutoverse was, without a doubt, one of the most interesting concepts in the anime. This system was just and fair, never discriminating against anyone. No matter who a person was or where they came from, they all had an equal chance to prove themselves and rise through the ranks to become the strongest shinobi out there.

In fact, some of the most promising and powerful shinobi rose through the ranks much faster than their comrades, thanks to this very impartiality. They ended up becoming a jonin-level shinobi at a very young age, with some of these shinobi being not even in their teens when they made it to jonin.
Konohamaru was the grandson of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and considered Naruto to be his big brother. He was still quite young when the Naruto series ended.
In Boruto, he first appeared when he was 27 years old as the sensei of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki. By this age, he had already been a jonin for a few years, and if one were to look at the timelines of both the anime, he most likely became a jonin at the age of 24.
Asuma Sarutobi was the son of Hiruzen Sarutobi and uncle of Konohamaru Sarutobi. He graduated from the Ninja Academy as a genin at 9 years of age and became a chunin at 12 years of age.
He finally became a jonin at the age of 20. His jonin duties were put on halt when he left the Hidden Leaf Village for a while, following a disagreement with his father. He returned to the village after a few years and resumed his duties.
Even though she failed the first time she participated in the Chunin Exams, Sakura became a chunin, at the age of 14, during the second round of the Chunin Exams held in the Hidden Sand Village.

By the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War Arc, she was 16 years old and still a chunin. She eventually became a jonin at 18 years of age, as was seen in The Last: Naruto the Movie.
7 Temari, The Eldest Sand Sibling, Became A Jonin Around The Age Of 17-18
When Temari first participated in the Chunin Exams in part 1, she was one of the oldest participants at the age of 15. Three years later, when Naruto returned from his training, he saw her with Shikamaru.
At that time, Temari revealed that she was already a jonin when she told Shikamaru to take his responsibilities seriously and become a jonin like her. This meant that she had become a jonin somewhere between 15-18 years of age, with 17 being the most likely age.
His siblings’ achievements often overshadowed Kankuro’s abilities and accomplishments, but this shinobi from the Hidden Sand Village did not lack in talent at all.
It was not just Temari and Gaara who progressed during the 3-year gap, but Kankuro as well. He became a jonin around the same time as Temari, even though he was a year younger than her. He was most likely to have made jonin at 16.
5 Neji Hyuga Became The Youngest Jonin Of His Generation At 15
Of all the Konoha 11, Neji Hyuga was the first one to be promoted to jonin level. Even though he failed the Chunin Exams the first time around, he participated in them again when they took place in the Sand Village.
Team Guy performed well during these exams, where Neji did exceptionally well. Once the exams were over, Rock Lee and Tenten were promoted to chunin while Neji was promoted straight to jonin at the age of 15.
Gaara appeared with Temari and Kankuro in the Chunin Exams the first time around when he was about 12 years old. When Naruto returned after three years of training, he found out that Gaara was already the Kazekage of the Sand village at the age of 15.
The Kage was the highest post in a village system, which meant that he had also crossed the jonin level during the time skip.
3 Kakashi Hatake Outdid His Comrades & Became Jonin At 12 Years Of Age
Without a doubt, Kakashi Hatake was very talented as a child and way ahead of everyone his age. He became a genin after graduating at the top of his class at the academy at the mere age of 5.

In fact, he was so skilled that he was allowed to take the Chunin Exam with his team at the age of 6, which he passed. He finally became a jonin at the age of 12.
Itachi Uchiha was a boy who showed a lot of promise from the very beginning. He joined the Ninja Academy at 6 years of age and excelled in every field. His superiors were so impressed by him that they let him take the Genin Exam, which he passed easily.
He kept honing his skills and passed the Chunin Exam at the age of 10 by himself. He joined the ANBU at 11 and became the ANBU captain a year later at 12. While it was never officially confirmed if he was promoted to jonin, an ANBU ninja was considered to be above jonin level, meaning he had surpassed the level when he became the Captain at 12 years of age.

He met Itachi when he was a genin at around 8 years of age, while Itachi was 5. About 3 years after he met Itachi, Shisui was shown living as a jonin with his father and mother, which meant that he was already a jonin at the age of 11.
